    Research Summary

Amyloid precursor protein (APP) is proteolytically processed to generate amyloid-beta, a protein that aggregates in the brains of Alzheimer's disease patients. My research focuses on alterations in APP processing during apoptosis, specifically cleavage of APP by caspases.
