    Research Summary

My project focuses on developing a graphene materials-based theranostic strategy for ovarian cancer. Initially, I synthesized the graphene-based material from graphite by a one-step hydrothermal method and evaluate the immunotoxicity of this nanomaterial in macrophages. Secondly, the nanomaterial was conjugated with targeting ligands and therapeutic drugs. The imaging and specific therapeutic effect of the conjugates were measured in ovarian cancer cells. Last, the therapeutic efficacy and pharmacokinetic profiles of this conjugates will be evaluated in nude mice models
